Will doing a clear arp on a cisco switch stop network traffic

Will clearing the arp table on a cisco switch halt network connectivity or operations or will it just clear the arp table and start to build it again.  Thanks.

It will NOT affect traffic flow. The switch will just start learning again

I have noticed that sometimes it might interrupt/disconnect communications when clearing the entire arp cache (table), so be carefull with that.

There will be slight slow down while the router learns everything again.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

The time it takes to re-learn the arp table is really short - shouldn't notice unless you're doing ping test, which supply the response times. If you're having issues with one entry, you can be specific in your clearing.

Users may notice a 1 or 2 second slow down, but the network will not be "down," just re-learning.
