Move main SSL wildcard cert to new hardware

We currently have a wildcard certificate on IIS6 running on a 2003 server. That certificate is the main wildcard certificate which is used to generate all other certificates for all of our other servers that we put into production. We are replacing the server with new hardware, on 2008r2 64bit IIS7. We intend on bringing down the old hardware and replacing the IP Address with the old IP Address as well. My concern is the SSL cert. Is there a method to transfer the cert over to the new hardware and it also generate the needed cert for any new servers we put into production without having to go through GoDaddy and either rekeying or repurchasing a cert.

I will read this thoroughly sometime today. I just briefly scanned it, and I want to make sure that it is understood that the cert that I am waniting to move, is the main cert that all other certs are created off of and that no functionality will be lost by chaning the hardware, and OS......

TY in advance.....
