asp menu styling

Hi experts,

attached is an aspx file which contains asp menu. i this have used styles but same are not getting applied to the menu also  there is an icon for each menu which sticked to the menuname which i want to seperate i.e. give some padding between the two

Please help me on this

I've tried the code below and added a screenshot of what I see - is this what you're hoping for?

If not, where is it going wrong? menu that I see with the attached code

I was hovering over the third item when the shot was taken, and had repointed the page_load code to the demo pictures in Win 7 for the icons :)
