Hi,

When you say it didn't work, what was the issue? I guess you want to know how to call web service from PB using soap client, right? If that is the case, wsdl is required to create proxy objects in PB. Just let me know where you are stucked and can help you to proceed further with your wsdl.

I little more detail on problems you are facing will help to assist you.

Thanks,
Sandeep

ok.. I will mention steps but in detail you can read from PB help. In powerbuilder help search for 'Web Service Proxy Generator, setting general properties', in that help window at the bottom you will see... For more information: Generating Web service proxy objects. Follow the link and you will see the detail steps.

Also refer to below link to create proxy objects from WSDL...

http://noazdad.wordpress.com/2009/01/19/calling-net-web-services-from-pb115/

1) create new pbl (say myproxy.pbl) to create proxy objects from WSDL.
2) Add myproxy.pbl in your application library list.
3) Also add pbsoapclient115.pbd (should be there in powerbuilder installation directory) in library list.
4) Now select File > New > Project Tab > Web Service Proxy.
5) On General tab... Give location of myproxy.pbl as Deployment Pbl and 'px_' ( or anything you want) as Proxy name prefix.
6) On Web Service tab... select the WSDL location.
7) Click on Service button will give the list of all objects in WSDL. select all. Keep EasySoap as WSDL Engine.
8) Click the 'Deploy Project' icon in tool bar to create new proxy object and it will create all proxy objects in myproxy.pbl. You will see all structures and proxy object prefixed with 'px_' for each web service. proxy object (say px_testwebservice) for web service will also have all functions (method) you want to call.
9) now it's time to call those methods... to test that create new window with a button on it.
10) declare new instance variable

px_testwebservice ipo_proxy_obj

11) windows open event write a code to create soapconnection and CreateInstance of proxy object. Refer to the sample example in PB help for 'CreateInstance method (SoapConnection)'
12) Once the instance is created, you can call method from web service usingg ipo_proxy_obj.method().

That's all....

Thanks,
Sandeep

Do you have this option in your powerbuilder?

File > New > Project Tab > Web Service Proxy.

Can you check in your installation setup if you forgot to install this?
