Periodic AOL Bouncebacks from Outlook (Exchange)

User periodically gets bounce backs but with only aol recipients, error code is as such:

<emvex01.emv.local #5.1.1 smtp;550 5.1.1 <JMADONNACPA@AOL>COM>: Recipient address rejected: aol.com>

If the user tries it again it then work, but sometime it has to be done multiple times

Thank you in advance

If the message is accurate, that is AOL rejecting the message becuase it can't find the recipient's mailbox. If that is really the case and AOL is not throwing a false error message, the recipient may have to take it up with AOL support.

In other cases, I have seen AOL do this when your rDNS for your domain isn't set up properly. If you are sending your email directly from Exchange, see if your ISP has a smarthost server that you can relay your outbound mail through.
