Send as Permission with security group permission.

Question:

I currently have a shared resource (mailbox) called “Epic_mail”. There are list of users (+25) that has SEND AS permission. I currently want to clean up the “list of users” by substituting security group permission.

I want to remove all 25 users from Epic_Mial resource mailbox including the send as permissions. Ideally, I want to add the 25 users that were on Epic_mail to a security group called “Epic_Mail_Send_As”. From there, I want to give the security group (Epic_Mail_Send_As) send as permission to “Epic_mail”.

Currently I given send as permission to Epic_Mail_Send_as for Epic_Mail but I get an error “You do not have permission to send as”.

I have provided the proper send as permission from EMC (Exchange Manager Console) including in ADUC (Active directory users and computer) under the security tab and click on Send As.

I am just stuck.

Thanks

You will need to use a Mail-Enabled Universal Security Group if you want it recognised like a mailbox user would be.

After reading what you have mentioned. I swear made it mail enable for the security group by having the group scope as universal then went to EMC and made it mail enabled. I guess missed a set because NOW! it is working.

Thanks for the help. passing you full credits.
