Sharepoint 2010 CSS menu hidden behind active x control
Hi I am having this issue where the CSS Menus from the top nav bar in sharepoint 2010 sites are hiding behind the Active X Datasheet view for a table. This happens when we use the new V4.master page. If I use the old BlankBand master page from Moss 2007 the menus are laid on the top.
Not sure if this is a bug in v4.master page, but I wanted to see if anyone can provide a fix this issue.

Try increasing the z-index for the CSS Menus. Not sure if that affects layering of ActiveX controls though...

It have tried to increase the z-index but it did not help. What is surprising is that the old master pages work just fine.
