Barracuda Email Security Service - LDAP Issue

We are currently testing out using Barracuda's online web filtering and are working on the LDAP functionality. Attached is a screenshot showing the fields filled out. When you test it, it is successful so the IP and port is forwarding correctly. However, once you add a testing e-mail it fails with:
Error: Unable to lookup LDAP account testemail@domain.com
LDAP lookup returned empty result.

I believe the authentication filter or mail attributes is the culprit.  Any advice on what to review first would be greatly appreciated! User generated image

Hello,

My guess is that the "Bind DN/Username" field is wrong. I believe you need to put the distinguished name of your Administrator account here. It would look something like CN=Administrator,OU=Users,DC=domain,DC=local.

I believe the Bind DN/Username has to be the username that is authenticating against the system. If I try anything else it will fail.  Keep in mind that the authentication succeeeds to log into LDAP, it simply fails when I add an e-mail address for it to query.

Turned out to be an issue documented by Barracuda.
