Barracuda Email Security Service - LDAP Issue
We are currently testing out using Barracuda's online web filtering and are working on the LDAP functionality. Attached is a screenshot showing the fields filled out. When you test it, it is successful so the IP and port is forwarding correctly. However, once you add a testing e-mail it fails with:
Error: Unable to lookup LDAP account testemail@domain.com
LDAP lookup returned empty result.
I believe the authentication filter or mail attributes is the culprit. Any advice on what to review first would be greatly appreciated!

I believe the Bind DN/Username has to be the username that is authenticating against the system. If I try anything else it will fail. Keep in mind that the authentication succeeeds to log into LDAP, it simply fails when I add an e-mail address for it to query.

Turned out to be an issue documented by Barracuda.
My guess is that the "Bind DN/Username" field is wrong. I believe you need to put the distinguished name of your Administrator account here. It would look something like CN=Administrator,OU=Users,
