Change order of colums in a content type used in a custom list

I have a couple of content types used in different custom list. Things are working as planned - besides the missing option (speak the missing button) "column order": I can't find a way to order the columns shown on the newform.aspx within a content type. Any hints?

I followed the steps shown here (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-foundation-help/create-or-customize-a-site-content-type-HA101884501.aspx?CTT=1#BMchangeorder) but again can't find the "columnn order" button. I only have "Add from existing site columns"

This is a topic discussing how to remove the title column but might help you. Just follow the steps to allow management of content types and see if the button appears: http://www.dlocc.com/articles/how-to-remove-title-column-from-sharepoint-list/
