I'm still very new to Aix 5.3 and I'm doing only my second file restore now. I open smit and accessed Tivoli. My questions from the command windows how can I restore the file to an alternate location?

    Accepted Solution

    # dsmc res "/data/*" /tmp/data/ -pick

"/data/*" is the files/directories to be restored

/tmp/data/ is the destination, otherwise the files will be restored to their original location

-pick is used to display an interactive menu with the list of the files before restore
