SonicWall NSA2400mx - should I use the extra ports as my switch?

I have a customer with a SonicWall NSA2400mx security appliance/firewall that they use for multiple LANs but only one WAN.  Out of the 25 ports/interfaces only 6 are being used to segment various networks.  I was wondering if it's ok or best practice to use the 6 open GB ports for one of my LANs instead of the 10/100 HP switch we currently have.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You certainly can.  you just need to utilize portshield groups.  I wouldn't take up all 25, but 6 should be fine.
