ok, but is there not an easyier way?

server:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters]
Name: SMB2
Typ: REG_DWORD
=0 disabled
=1 enabled

can't i query the "smb2"-value onto Client like "..sc query lanmanworkstation depend ..". All Terminalserver are Win dows 2008 R2 Enterprise.

You are correct: by default all Windows 2008 Servers have SMB2 enabled. But some circumstances (i.e. Trouble with SQL Connections) have consider the prevoius Admin to diable SMB2 .

Thx++

The registry is just another method of enableing/disabling.  I've doen the enable/disable to chekc with out any issues.
