When I try to install Xenapps 6.5 onto a windows 2008 r2 server it fails - the system comes up with an error about forcing a reboot. When I look at the installation error log I see these:

ExitCode.Reason = "Installation of Prerequisite_IIS failed."
XenApp Server\w2k8x64\mps.msi' failed with error code 1601

1. Make sure you have installed prerequisites before installing Xenapp6.5. Did you select all the roles and install IIS?

2. See the sytem requirements:

3. If the installation still fails after the prequisities are installed then download a new copy, make sure you have all the files. I had similar problem installing 6.5 later i found that one was missing. If you are downloading it as ISO, then mount it as some times extraction may miss some files.

4. Also try from a fresh copy of Windows 2008R2
