Can someone provide me with instructions on extending my home DD-WRT wireless network using TrendNet TEW-653AP Wireless Access Points?

My goal is to have seamless access with a single SSID so that people can connect iPhones and other devices and be able to roam through the facility without losing connection.  I also want all devices to be on the same network for file sharing.

Hi,

Do you have any cat 5 cabling in the location of the new AP or do you plan to run the new AP in repeater mode?

How is the new AP configured? Which channels are you using on both APs?

Right now it is set to Auto. However, based on networks around me, it should probably set at 1.

You should set the new AP to use 6 or 11 and use the same SSID and set it to AP mode and use the same security setup if you going to connect it to the same ethernet as the dd-wrt.

There are also instructions for repeater mode.
