I have recently been tasked to create a Infopath form that Staff will use to input Training requests for. We currently use Sharepoint 2010 and also have Infopath 2010. I am a beginner to infopath but quite experienced in Sharepoint. Does anybody have either a template or some beginners step by step guides to creating an Infopath training request form.

Many thanks

Where will the data for the training requests be kept? If in SharePoint, the easiest would be to start out with your SharePoint list. Set up all the columns you need for the training requests. Then, on the List Tools > List ribbon, click "Customize Form". This will open the standard List form in InfoPath and you can start your customizations, e.g. data validation, custom buttons, different appearances of the form depending on status of the request, etc.

Does that help?

cheers, teylyn
