Supporting foreign characters in windows phone 7 (or Mango)

Hello,

I have seen apps that use international characters but I can't seem to reproduce this. For example, when I try to write text in a textblock, it shows up as rectangles. How do I fix this?

I don't care if it is Mango or whatever version.
