ADRMS

hi there experts
i have 2 servers

1- DC01
2- MEMBER of server
i want to do a labs with ADRMS did i need to install a certificate authority on member server and
what's the step to folllow thnx

Yes, you need to have own CA server (for tests) or public certificate from 3rd party CA to be able to access resources from the Internet. Additionally, you need to install SQL server for AD RMS

Hey,

yes in test environment to test this functionality, you can use internal Windows database. But in production, I would strongly suggest to use SQL for that (on separate machine).

CA can be installed on any of your server and to save machines required for that CA chain, I would suggest to install the only one (Enterprise Root CA). You need to also evaluate which Windows edition do you need to accomplish your requirements. Please read this MS document about CA at
