I have problems with getting Windows XP to open last save folder.
My user have the following problem. if she saves 10 files, 4/10 times she gets back to the last folder where she saved. But the other 6 times she will have to browse 1 or more steps to get back to this folder.

Is there any registry fix or non third party way of keeping the last open save folder on next save?

Thanks in advance!

No, there isn't.  Typically, each program keeps track of it's own last used folder but many do not save it when the program is closed.
