it really depends on the data you're displaying and if you're adding anything; you could just drag a sql datasource control onto your page, with the query you're running, then use it as the formview's datasource - that should do most of the work for you, without any coding.<br />
It's only when you start doing things like formatting based on data values that you start to need code behind.
