I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, SP2 is installed.  Also, it appears recipients are never receiving invitations.  Doesn't sound like user error, she has been doing this for 10 years.

This is a good discussion on the reason for the error message and some possible "solutions".  Still don't know if appointments never arriving to recipients is related problem or separate.

Thanks CanusRufus for trying to help!

I didn't receive any inputs that address the actual problem.

I didn't assign an A because, to me, these are work-arounds.  I was looking for an actual solution, which should come from MS.
