IE Authentication issue
We have a project management intranet website that our users log into to manage their jobs. I have one user who keeps getting an authentication error and that person cannot log into the website. It appears to be a problem with their local copy of IE because I can use their credentials on my machine and login. I have dumped all of their temp files, cookies, passwords, history, etc......to no avail. Ironically, it worked on Friday, but today it is a no go. I checked for account lockout, but it is grayed out, so I figure that is not the problem either. This one has got me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cheese

Merete,
Thank you for the suggestions. We are using IE 8 here. Unfortunately, none of your suggested settings are checked on anybody else's browser and they don't have any issues with the website, only one user.

as is custom when thing just change out of the ordinary and no reason to first steps is to eliminate other possibilities.

Merete,
I have already done that. We run a registered copy of Malwarebytes on each client in additon to Trend Micro AV. Not sure where to turn from here. We'll see how things go today (Monday).
Thanks

The upgrade seems to have fixed the issue.
As I'm using IE 9 here is the settings I think you should look at
open the tools>internet options>security>Local Intranet>sites
ensure the bottom three are ticked
then click on advanced and add in the website address of your network or domain
follow any further requests with this same address
Hope it helps
