how do I change/add iSeries NTP server

I'm on V7R1M0, I want to set the iSeries to synchronize the system time with a NTP server.  but I can't seem to find a way to configure that anywhere.  I've tried it before with CHNGNTPA but it didn't seem to work.

Ntp problems are typically firewall related. Is your firewall set up to allow inbound ntp udp packets?

The problem is that ntp is a udp-based connectionless protocol. You send a request, and in a moment there is a response, but there is no association that the firewall can see between the two events. As a result you have to open up a wide range of udp ports to allow inbound ntp responses.

Configuration steps are in the i 7.1 Information Center. See Configuring SNTP for steps. You might also review Scenario: Synchronizing clocks with i5/OS for some general discussion and an example.

But firewall setups will definitely need attention.
