"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You don't specify what versions of Unix?

Novell Platespin Migrate can perform P2V on a schedule of Unix Servers.

Trials and available for download.

What version of Unix?

SUSE is not UNIX, it's LINUX.

Novell Platespin Migrate can perform P2V on a schedule of Linux Servers.

It has lots of Bells and Whistles, it will P2V - SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server (32 and 64-bit).

VMware vCenter Converter Standalone can also P2V SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server (32 and 64-bit) but now schedule.

If you use VMware vCenter Server with the vConverter Plugin (VMware Converter) you can Schedule an Event/Task to Import a Physical Machine, and create a P2V.

if you do not already have VMware vCenter Server, trials are available to download for 60 days!

You need to package your applications and replicate (weekly/nightly/hourly) to a better place. P2V never works well.
