problem with a WP theme on a secure site

I am not a web coder, but I'm having a problem I can't fix. I am assuming it's in the PHP somewhere.

I have a WP theme called Builder, that allows me to build a poorly coded, crappy wordpress site by uploading images and text into sections called "modules."

When I upload an image into the "module" it links to it like this:

<div class="builder-container-outer-wrapper" background-image="url(" >

I need it to say "https". I think this must be a bug, because everything should be defaulting to https.

That image is not in the stylesheet, as you would think, but in the builder "style manager" which is supposed to make styling easy.

In reality, it makes it more difficult and I hate builder with a new passion.

I am pretty desperate for help. This must be a php thing, right?

    Accepted Solution

    It's something in the Builder code specifically. It's writing http instead of checking to see if you have https as the default.  Short of tearing up the code to find it, you could search for those paths in the MySQL and change it there.
