I have word document and in footer I have page number inserted.

I want to now delete few pages but I want the page numbers to not move.

E.g. I want to delete page number 4 so after page 3 directly page 5,6 comes up and the page number should not update.

Please advise.

In order to break the link between two paging schemes you need to Insert a Section Break as follows:
Select the page you want at which you want to insert Section Break
Page Layout --> Page Setup --> Breaks --> Section Breaks --> Next Page
For the lower section you can Right-Click the page number to set its start page number to the value you need
You may repeat the Section Breaks in one document as much as you want
