Dear Experts,

How can I prevent that when I insert data from a text file in to a database table
that MS-ACCESS automaticly sort the data.

f.e:

When I insert a textfile that has these 5 words in it:
Echo
Alpha
Delta
Charly
Brave

After inserted in the table of the database i get:
Alpha
Bravo
Charly
Delta
Echo

How can i prevent the sorting. And just insert
these words in the order of the file.

Greetings,

If you created a primary key, it will sort automatically. Make sure you did NOT specify a primary key.

Otherwise, you can add an Autonumber field, and make that your primary key. Then be specific on your INSERT (just referencing your text field). When you query it later, it will return records in the order you added them.

Access don't sorting your data. You can see it if you add autonumber field to table and   insert data into this table.
