Officejett 8000 won't wake up, replacement recommendations?

We were replacing our K5400 printers with the newer 8000's from HP. However we keep running into an issue where about 5 minutes of inactivity (or whatever the default is) the things go to sleep and never wake up. These are networked and local printers and every single one of them has had the same problem. Because of the build "quality" of HP's as of late we are slowly moving towards Xerox for our laser needs. However I still have a large number of users that need color ink for various reason. It seems like it's hard to find one at a decent price point (below 400-350 bucks), or even one with an Ethernet port. Has anyone else run into this issue? If you had to replace the printer what was it with? Or what are you using in your set ups?

The problem seems to be not a lot of other companies offer networked printers in that price range. We'll just have to see if we can get approval for a more expensive one I guess.
