Ubuntu v11.10 and LAMP Server

I just installed my first Ubuntu 11.10 server with LAMP. How do I access phpMyAdmin from my browser? WHen I open a browser & go to http://ipaddress I get a message that says it works. If I go to http://ipaddress/phpMyAdmin page can not be displayed....This is much different than WAMP. Is there no WWW folder with LAMP?

You have to download and install phpMyAdmin into /var/www, and then you can go to http://[your IP]/phpMyAdmin and then you can run the wizard to configure it.

You can actually just use apt to install phpmyadmin:

$> sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

Then you can go to http://[your ip]/phpmyadmin/setup/

You will  need to edit the config file at the command line in /etc/phpadmin to set a username/password to log in with.
