Subnav background color not activating on hover in IE 8

Below is a link to a page on my company's web site. When on this page if you hover over "contact us" and then roll over the sub nav links the background is supposed to change color when you hover over each subnav. However in IE 8 the background highlight color will not switch to whatever subnav link i'm hovering over. It appears frozen on one. However in FF the subnav highlight works as intended. Anyway care to venture a guess as to why? Thanks.
