Hi guys,

We want to create this mailbox with 40 aliases. Is there a way we could know which email alias was used when sent an email to that mailbox. ? We did some tests but did not find a way to tell.

We have exchange 2007.

the email address will be found in the user's properties, is that what you are looking for.

Open up the email(s) in Outlook and view the email header information (method varies depending on the version of Outlook you have).  The information contained within the header will tell you what alias was used.

You can use Rules to search the header information and move the email to a specific folder based on the alias used if you need to, so that you can filter the message your side - if that is useful!
