Cisco ASA 5510 VPN
I have a cisco asa 5510 and need to understand how the licensing works for the client. I would like to setup remote users vpn access but don't know where to get the cisco client. Is this something I need to purchase for each user? I don't want to use the client-less option.
Thanks for any help on this

Unfortunately I have seen this site and actually this is one of the sites that leads to confusion. It takes me to the Cisco site but I can't download from the site because I don't have a service agreement.

Which leads to my question is the only way to get the client by having a smart net warranty? What happens when the smart net expires? The smart net as quoted from a reseller for my product is 1050 does this sound right? Over a thousand to download the client???
Sounds about right. But you can get the client from a reseller without having smartnet.

An answer was provided. You don't HAVE to have a smartnet contract to obtain the client. Any reseller can provide the client without a smartnet contract.
The question of the original post was:
Is this something I need to purchase for each user?
In 37067257, I responded: "Without a SmartNet contract, you'll need to contact a Cisco Reseller."
And in 37067517, I stated: "But you can get the client from a reseller without having smartnet."
Either one of those should be classified as the answer.
