Event id 12014 Error
I am receiving this error. When i look at the SMTP Send connector the FQDN name is mail.diprete-eng.com. Should I change the connector to read webmail.diprete-eng.com?
Thanks
Microsoft Exchange couldn't find a certificate that contains the domain name mail.diprete-eng.com in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector Send Connector with a FQDN parameter of mail.diprete-eng.com. If the connector's FQDN is not specified, the computer's FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key.

Else , you can also create the self signed certificate for mail.diprete-eng.com to resolve Event Id 12014 issue.

My existing certificate is named webmail.diprete-eng.com. Would i then have to create another certificate if that is the name i want to use in the send connector?

Thanks for your help
If you want to change the FQDN of the send connector, then after that, you have to issue a new certificate to the new FQDN. Please try to ensure that FQDN of your send/receive connector is also listed as a subject name or subject alternative name on your certificate, and after that you need to enable the certificate for SMTP service.
New-ExchangeCertificate -subjectName "FQDN"
