Double clicking to open forms, tables does not open them

Patty01Access
on
I'm running Access 2010, and have pulled up our existing Access 2002 db. In the navigation pane, when I double click on a form or query or table to open, it does not open. I'm pretty sure it did open before. This is a brand new computer for me, and I'm having no luck. I have another computer with the same configuration (Windows 7, Access 2010), and it works fine.

If I right click on the form/table/query then choose Open, it opens fine.

 Help please!

1- Do other programs doubleclick open?
2- Navigate to MSACCESS.EXE file, and try. Does it open?

What about the Double Click Speed in the Mouse Properies (From control panel)?

Sorry, I didn't see your response.

I don't have the problem opening Access--it opens fine, as do other programs when I double click.

The problem is when I'm in Access 2010, using the navigation pane to open a form there.  You should be able to double click on the form and it should open, but it doesn't.

Same is true for any tables, queries

I also added a few macros to open specific forms so I could make a shortcut to them on the ribbon.

That's it!!! I changed the speed yesterday to be 75% faster.  I just put it back to 50% and it opened fine.  THANKS MUCH!

I asked for opening to make sure that the mouse double click speed is set fine, which you verified.

Is this issue local to this specific database on this specific computer?
Can you reproduce the issue with another database?

Try creating a new database, and import a table and try opening.

The issue may be an office setup on this computer.
