Do you buy many books? Or just follow MSDN?
I hate to buy books because they are expensive and maybe not helpful. But if without a book, memory all concepts and methods/properties is not an easy thing.
Web form, MVC, Jquery, AJAX, Silverlight....too manyyyyy!

I am preparing asp.net 4.0 MCTS.
Best place for tutorials on asp.net is from asp.net.

Asp.net Web Forms: http://www.asp.net/web-forms
Asp.net MVC: http://www.asp.net/mvc

If you are planning on earning a MCTS, then you'd better buy some books or take some classes.
The Microsoft Certifications are heavy on book answers
