Backup Individual Exchange 2003 Mailboxes in Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3

Is there a way to individually backup Exchange 2003 mailboxes in Backup Exec 2010 R3? There used to be an option to do this in Backup Exec 10d, but no longer see it available. I need to backup certain mailboxes for litigation purposes, to keep on seperate tapes, without having to backup the entire information store. Thank you.

According to this Symantec article, you need to enable "Legacy mailbox support" within Backup Exec options.

Also note that if you ever upgrade to anything newer than Exchange 2003, Backup Exec doesn't support this method anymore as only full mailbox database backups are possible, however enabling GRT would allow you to restore individual messages or mailboxes.

I ran my backup job, without enabling legacy mailbox support.  When I go to a restore job, I see it allows me to navigate to each mail message within the mailbox store. So I may not need to enable legacy mailbox support.  My question is how this works when restoring, does it restore the entire mailbox store or just the mail item. I'm reluctant to continue a restore, with the following prompt window in the restore job window, the last thing I want to do is mess up the exchange store:
