Windows Vista and 7 both contain the drivers needed to print to the HP 1100 without needing external drivers.

You can try to use the XP drivers if you are having issues getting it to work.

Have you tried using this printer on another computer recently? My gut says it might just not be working properly.
if you have googled and you can't find one, perhaps you need to accept that there isn't a specific driver for your printer.

you could try the HP universal print driver - that may work for you.

Windows 7 should have the driver.

 Windows7-PrinterDialoguePartial
Go to Devices and Printers, Add a Printer, Local Printer, Existing Port, Next. Notice the Windows Update button beside Have Disk. Click on Windows Update, allow to process, but do not add the printer. When the update is done, cancel and restart the computer.

Now try to add the printer. ..... Thinkpads_User

I am not sure why your machines would not update. I have done this numerous times myself on my own machines and numerous times on client machines.

Try restarting and try again. There may be some other issue.

Make sure you have no pending printer installs. Delete (remove) any printers you do not want. Then go to Devices and Printers, click on one printer and see the menu bar that comes up. Click on Print Server Properties and then the Drivers tab. Remove any drivers you do not need.

Also consider restarting the print spooler service. See the following article from Seven Forums;

After all this, restart and try again.
