I do not think you can.

SQL Developer has a SQL worksheet that sort of emulates sqlplus but I do not think you can 'shell out' and execute sqlplus.

you could add sql*plus as a an external tool but I don't think that's going to do what you're looking for.

sql developer is from Oracle

pl/sql developer is from Allround Automations

why would you expect a feature of one to be in the other?

what are you trying to do?  does sql worksheet not suffice?

Many times i need to email the query used along with the results.

Sql*Plus gives a very good format of the query and it's results.

I can't copy the query from from worksheet and then copy data from the grid to do this.

So, i have to start a sql*plus session from command prompt to do the same which is combersome

I believe the sql worksheet will accept most, if not all, sqlplus commands.

- you can actually click on the grid, then press ctrl+A to select all the data on the grid then ctrl+C to copy the data. then open excel and paste (Ctrl+V) on the worksheet.
