Shadow Copy
We have a windows 2003 network with mapped drives and shared folders. Once in a while Ill get a call that someone had accidently deleted something on the network and since it wasnt deleted locally the only way as of now to get the file back is through a tape backup. Is there a script or setting that will allow deleted network files to go into the recycle bin of that server. If not what are the advantages / disadvantages / recomended settings for shadow coping.
Thanks
Thanks
I have not found any disadvantages of shadow copy... I have been able to restore accidentally deleted files in seconds.

Are there any recomended settings when setting it up?
I've never tweaked the settings....you have a couple things you can customize but I've not ever had a need to change the defaults... Just fired it up.

I enabled it but unsure of how it works. I set it to 12PM.
