How Can I Turn My Union Query into a Make Table Query?

I created a Union Query (of two separate queries) because I can't ever seem to get the hang of sub-queries. The problem is that I need to make a table from the results of the Union Query and Access says an "Action Query can not be Used as a Record Source"

Can Somebody tell me how to get around this? Thanks

Create a Make Table query using your Union Query as the source Table/Query.

Right. That's the problem. Access won't let me. I would usually create a Make Table Query by going to the Select Query and using the Make Table Icon. When I do that, it blanks out all of the exisitng Union Query SQL. When I try to manually insert the INTO statement to make it a Make table, I get the "Action Query...NO Row Source" Error message.

as mentioned above, you can save the union query and then use that as your source for the make table, or you can encapsulate your union query as a subquery, something like:

SELECT Temp.Field1, Temp.Field2
FROM (
SELECT Field1, field2 from table1
union
SELECT Field1, Field2 from table2) as Temp
