we have a 200 nodes network , currently connections being handled by Dlink layer2 switches.
Cabling is cat 5 and most machines are connected , many 10/100 workstations.
The idea is to replace these old switches with Cisco Layer 3 switches that:
- 48 or 96 ports
-Support VOIP ( if in the future we switch to a Cisco VOIP)
-Gigabyte ports , but backward compatible with old network connections.
-Able to secure ports based on IP/MAC of workstations.
Any suggestions ? Is WS-C3750X-48P-L a good one ?
