2008 settings on a 2003 DC

I'm deploying a bunch of 2008 R2 servers in a domain with a 2003 DC and I want to hide the "Network" from within Windows Explorer (yes, I can turn off specifics in Advanced Sharing Settings).  I'm looking for an ADM that I can download that I can then import into my current GPO and configure for things that are specific to 2008 server.

Is there a possibility that I could write my own custom GPO to accomplish this (remember that I'm on a 2003 server).
No currently I don't know of anyway even with Windows 2008 Server DCs to get rid of this
The result of the answer sucks, but at least it's an answer.  Thank you.
