NetApp BMC ssh error?

EE,

I configured the BMC on my NetApp 2040 system and have ping connectivity to and from NetApp and my workstation including the gateways.

For some reason, when I putty to the BMC, I get error:

"Network error: Connection refused by peer"

Not sure what this means. The switch itself is configured for switchport vlan access xx and ping works.

BMC status on the netapp shows everything is there and can ping itself.

Any suggestions?

Connect via crossover cable and ensure that it's not a network issue.

Darn didn't work. I had both configured at the last site and it was fine. Since it is the BMC (e0m) and seperate from e01 and the filer, I don't think those commands affect it. It's like its own thing.

Telnet to port 22 failed but was good on the e0a mgmt port. After a tracert, I see that it has one hop through the switch. I think there may be an ACL right there. I will see tomorrow and get back.

Thanks

How lame, the BMC needed to reboot via bmc reboot. Rebooting the filer itself didn't seem to do anything.
