Phone line issue

Hi Guys,

I was moving phone modems to a new closet and had to put long phone line cable to make it reach the new closet. There are 4 lines here and all of them can receive the calls except one line that does not ring. But I can call out from thoes lines with no issue but I can not receive the incoming call.

What do you think is the issue? Please help as this is a customer site.

That's a heck of a difficult thing to troubleshoot... Are the lines plugged into a call manager? Are they seperate phone numbers and part of a hunt group? Are they all just terminated to the same punch downs on the wall?

Have you tried switching cables around?  It may be one of the new long lines is bad.
Make sure all of your cables are pinned straight through. If you have crossed connections on a phone line, some things still work and some things do not.

I only plugged a connector between the old phone line as it was shorter and the new RJ45 line.
to make it longer.

The modem has a coxial connector at the back and from the modem there are 2 RJ45 lines coming out.
