Cisco TACACS VPN server on a 2003 R2 server

Is it okay/safe to use Microsoft Defrag on a TacACS database? I don't know if it will corrupt the database... The hard drive is extremely fragmented; all RED.

it should be safe as long as you do it during off-peak hours. Also, remember to test it first before doing it in production environment and as any change management project, have a back out plan in place.

Also, the only issue I can foresee is not actually a corruption in the database, but that the defrag cannot complete if there's a lock on the disk. check this link:

Yes. Diskeeper always had good reviews but there are other players as well. You might want to check the following link to see which one suits your environment the better
