Problem printing from programs

Hi Everyone,

I'm having issues printing from word, excel, adobe reader, but if I print a test page from the "printer Properties" I'm able to print ok.

I have an Epson Workforce 630 and a Win7 64-bit Desktop installed with the most recent drivers downloaded from the Epson's website support.

I check the logs and I got 6 printing errors, this is the message on those errors

The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\E_IUICGBA.DLL, error code 0xc1. See the event user data for context information.

I First updated the drivers, but it didn't solve this problem, then i completely uninstalled the printer and all its components from "Programs and Features" and reinstall everything again, but I'm still having the same issue.

If I try to print from adobe reader, i get a message asking to install a printer, but the printer is installed.
If I try to print from Microsoft office programs, the window freezes.

Any ideas?

Hmmmm I have had similar issues with print drivers before..... and had to do a fair bit to get them going again... not too sure if this will work for you or not.....

A few questions first, is the printer shared from a server?  (must be a 2008 x64 server)?

My setup was different to yours... but what I had to do was delete the printer.... then uninstall the driver...

Then I had to go and delete the driver from the registry....

IN the following places:

HK_local_Machine\SYSTEM\controlSet001\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers\Version-3\

You should see an Epson folder in here, or a few..... You have to delete all folders referring to the Epson print driver.

Also do it in :

HK_local_Machine\SYSTEM\controlSet002\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers\Version-3\
HK_local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentcontrolSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers\Version-3\

Then goto HK_Local_machine\SOFTWARE\

and delete the epson software out of there...

Restart the machine, and reinstall the drivers.
