You need to use the Xerox Scan Utility. If the manual linked by Moomin83 does not give you the answers you want, please tell us what the problem is. Do you get any error messages? Are you scanning by using the Scan button on the Phaser? Can you select the folder?
Your input is appreciated but i actually worked on the issue last niht and beleive i have found the answer,at least for the xp machines on the domain machines.
On the phaser when you select "Scan To Pc" the list shown is not actually a pc list but turned out to be a domain user list. In other words it shows the logged on uses names.
All that was needed was to uninstall the scanner drivers(all) reboot then reinstall them. After doing this on 6 pc's all ended up scanning just fine. Now to the windows 7 pc's.
Any help on those is also greatly appreciated as they seem to be more difficult.

Glad you got the XPs working. Win7 drivers would not be on the printer CD as the printer was released quite a while ago and Xerox rarely update the CD. However, Win7 drivers can be found here.

I have the win 7 drivers, my question is how does this work when scanning to pc. The 7 drivers have no scan utility. At least not as far as i can see.

The manual for the Phaser was incomplete at best for addressing the domain scan issue. My solution wokred and worked well anyone else trying to do the same would wise to read it.
