WAMPSERVER - Server offline
hi there,
I want to use Joomla on my PC and in order to use it i need to install Wampserver. so i went to http://www.wampserver.com/en/download.php and i got the latest wampserver. Iinstalled the 32 bit version and follow the screen directions. After installation i notice the server is giving me WAMPSERVER - Server offline i tried to refresh but nothing happens.
I went to Administrative tools, Event Viewer and i saw these three errors:
1. The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> (OS 10048)Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 .
2. The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> no listening sockets available, shutting down
3. The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> Unable to open logs
so i went online i research these errors, some sources mention that probably IIS is running and is blocking port 80. so in order for me to ruled this out i did this http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/a0384d23-7a8f-4c6e-9968-7f6836ac54b1.mspx?mfr=true stop IIS
came back to refresh WAMPSERVER and still nothing happens. it remains offline!
any ideas?

is this computer a server machine?
did you tried to set the ip address of the computer on the configuration file?
did you tried to set the ip address of the computer on the configuration file?
instead of 0.0.0.0:80 set it to something like 192.168.1.1:80 (192.168.1.1 ip of machine)
