Hi Guys,

I am doing a wireless router at the moment and the router model is the cisco Model WRV2440N
I set the SSID broadcast and I am interested that when users come to the office they see the broadcast name and connect to it using a short password of 6 OR 7 words.

Can I please know what security mode and encryption shall i select : aes or TKIP.
WEP OR WAP-personal., WPA2 PERSONAL,

Thanks,

You should use WPA2 Personal (pre-shared key) or Enterprise depending on your network configuration for the most secure configuration. Out of AES and TKIP, AES is the more secure. I think the smallest key you can have is 8 characters.

I think you better use WPA2 or WPA2 Mixed with WPA(for older device compatibility as some old device not support WPA2)

You can use anything as the pass phase when you use WPA/WPA2
