new DC not replicating DNS zones

I just installed a new Windows 2008 R2 machine, dcpromo'd it and all was fine until I opened up the DNS on the new DC and see that there is no DNS zones listed.

I can't seem to figure out why

Add DNS to the new DC and you will see the DNS zones.

Dcpromoing a server only adds AD not DNS.

Commented:
If by chance you had already installed DNS, try a reboot. DCPROMO should have prompted you to install DNS.

Is DNS AD integrated on your other DNS server?  If it isn't, once DNS is installed it won't pick up the DNS from AD.
