Win 7 registry

Hi Experts,

I made a small change to the win 7 registry (removed a key for the dvd player as part of a fix posted online).  Now when I restart it says it can't start and now is attempting to repair with start up repair.

As it's attempting the startup repair, I figured I'ld ask you folks for tips to recover this while I wait.

Thanks,

HNM

Did you create a backup of the registry hierarchy prior to deleting that key?  Is so, it might be prudent to restore it and then conduct some additional research regarding that "fix."

If not, it would probably be a good idea to initiate a System Restore to your most recent snapshot prior to that modification:

Thanks anyway.. it restored fine.  I'll post a separate question regarding the specific DVD problem.  Maybe you can help?
